The African Development Bank Group's Country Manager for Algeria, Abdoulkader Dileita, presented his credentials to Ahmed Attaf, Algeria's Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, on 3 November, in Algiers, the country's capital. The meeting provided an opportunity to highlight the robust partnership between the North African nation and Africa's premier development finance institution.

Attaf commended the fruitful cooperation between Algeria and the Bank Group, highlighting the numerous flagship projects supported by the institution in the areas of infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and human development. He also reaffirmed the Algerian authorities' readiness to deepen this partnership to support national priorities in economic diversification and to accelerate the country's sustainable development.

Dileita, a lawyer and legal adviser with over 27 years' experience in the public sector and international organisations, expressed his gratitude to the Algerian government for the trust it continues to place in the Bank Group.

"The African Development Bank will remain at Algeria's side to support its national priorities through tailored financial instruments and technical expertise," he said. "Together, we will continue to foster inclusive growth and stronger regional integration for the benefit of all."

A founding member and key shareholder of the African Development Bank Group, Algeria is a strategic partner of the institution in its mission to promote an integrated, prosperous, and resilient Africa.
