Nigeria: FCT Releases Revised 2026 Hajj Fares, Fixes Dec 1 Deadline

11 November 2025

The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (MPWB) has fixed December 1, 2025, as the deadline for the payment for the 2026 hajj exercise.

The Board has also released the revised fare for this year exercise, as directed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), amounting to N7,696,769.76.

A statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Muhammad Lawal Aliyu, said intending pilgrims who want to go through the Board must complete payment before the deadline to book a seat to be part of the religious journey.

The spokesperson explained that all payments to the Board must be via a bank draft, as no cash transaction would be entertained.

He said all payments for the exercise are to be concluded before the deadline to enable the Board to compile the actual list of intending pilgrims for the exercise this year and to remit all funds to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) on schedule.

He also said the Board had initiated negotiations with service providers in Saudi Arabia for the provision of feeding and befitting accommodation in Makkah during the exercise.
