The Christopolis District Women & Children Organization (CDWCO) has concluded its First Annual Conference, reporting major accomplishments in spiritual development, organizational growth, and community engagement.
The three-day event, held from November 14-16, 2025, at the Agape Global Methodist Church, brought together over 150 women leaders, district delegates, and members of local congregations for worship, planning, and reflection.
Delivering the annual message, District Coordinator Sister Sarah B. Jeffy expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged the leadership team for steady progress since the organization's establishment on May 1, 2025. She credited National Women Coordinator Mother Victoria Muriel Nelson for inspiring the district's formation and noted that the motto "Women of God, Serving God Together in One Spirit" was unanimously adopted at the inaugural gathering.
The District Women and Children Organization Coordinator Sister Jeffy recounted key activities held during the year, including two fast and prayer services in May and June, which she described as spiritually uplifting for women across the district.

Recounting several activities, the DC named the Induction and Recommitment Service, held on June 22 at New Georgia GMC and featuring a message from Rev. Dr. Jerry P. Kulah under the theme "Come and See," raised L$95,190 and US$390, marking a significant milestone for the young organization.
She noted that the district also sent over 50 women to participate in the Grain Coast Annual Conference in Ganta from July 4-13.
Other days celebrated highlights include Women's Workday, which was celebrated on September 28 at Refuge GMC, raised L$79,660 and US$386 despite unfavorable weather. The program included special music by the Refuge GMC Choir and a fundraising fruit-purchase activity.
DC Jaffy said across the year, as head of the CDWCO, the district held four leadership and general meetings, with discussions centered on growth strategies, uniform selection, and activity planning. The coordinator also disclosed plans for stronger engagement with the Global Methodist Children's Ministry in 2026.
"Several local congregations submitted institutional reports highlighting membership strength, financial records, and areas needing improvement." DC Sis. Sarah B. Jaffy noted:
New Georgia GMC: 60 active members; US$240, L$71,300, 72nd GMC: 62 active members; US$1,400, L$99,840, Smytthe GMC: 19 active members; US$80, L$9,500, and David Gueh GMC: 25 active, 2 inactive members; L$42,045 among others.
Churches recommended district tours, leadership workshops, and empowerment training in areas such as soap-making and tie-and-dye. Common challenges included low dues compliance, poor meeting attendance, and limited participation in district programs.
The district reported a closing financial balance of L$84,200 and US$475 for the period under review.
During the conference, the Chairperson of the Committee on Finance and Complimentary Resolution Sister Jennifer M. Lekpeh presented a three-day financial report citing L$170,080 and US$821 in receipts, alongside L$25,000 in checks. Expenditures totaled L$65,795 and US$2, leaving a balance of L$129,285 and US$819.
A notable discussion concerned a L$25,000 cash deposit converted into a check and placed on hold. Members also referenced an additional US$300 receipt expected to be added to the final balance. The report concluded with applause for a teacher who assisted in preparing the financial breakdown.
The conference opened with prayer and worship led by New Georgia GMC, followed by an Old Testament reading from Nehemiah emphasizing the rebuilding of spiritual and physical walls.
Delegates passed several motions, including the establishment of a conference bar, moved by Mother Catherine Swen New Life GMC, and the adoption of an official souvenir for the organization, moved by Mother Emma Wilson of the New Georgia GMC.
Committee members were appointed to manage specific organizational tasks, while the District Coordinator temporarily handed over authority to the presiding mother as part of procedural traditions.
A policy governing priestly polygamous women was formally adopted, and delegates approved three official uniforms for various church occasions, including the staff blue uniform and a primed crop dress for funerals.
Bible studies drawn from Nehemiah and Jeremiah underscored themes of leadership, unity, and spiritual resilience.
The Children's Ministry hosted a district-wide quiz competition, with E. D. McGill emerged as the winner. Coordinators presented guidelines for children's activities and emphasized increased youth engagement moving forward.
At the Conference, attendance figures were announced, and plans were confirmed for the next phases of the district conference to be held in New Life (2026) and John Warner GMC (2027).
However, the Christopolis District Women and Children Organization Coordinator Sister Jeffy, and the Executive Committee Members, and members of the Organization recommended that the District Coordinator be added to all local women's chatrooms and be empowered to make leadership adjustments in cases of non-performance.
In closing, DC, Sister Sarah B. Jaffy thanked national leaders, district executives, advisors, local coordinators, supporters, and the Christopolis District Men's Ministry for their contributions throughout the year.
Furthermore, Sister Jaffy encouraged members to remain steadfast in their spiritual journey, she reminded them: "It is my prayer that by the grace of God, we will continue to keep our eyes on the One who knows all about us. May God guide us all as we rebuild the walls of our lives."
The conference, which brought together over 150+ members of the Women and Children Organization, huge delegates from the District Men Organization, District Presiding Elder (P.E) Dr. Julius Z.Y.K Williams, I., the District Lay Leader, Mth. Jestina W. Sayon, and a representative from the Office of the Conference Superintendent of the Global Methodist Church Liberia, ended with expressions of gratitude to choirs, cooks, organizers, and all participants who ensured its success.
