Nigeria: Ezekwesili Nominated for International Anti-Corruption Award

The International Anti-corruption Excellence Award has declared Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili as winner of this year's International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award in the category of Lifetime/Outstanding Achievement.

In a letter of notification of selection sent to Ezekwesili signed by the director, Rule Of Law And Anti-Corruption Center, Dr. Yasser Refaie on behalf of both the secretariat of the International Anti-corruption Excellence Award and Dr. Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri, United Nations special advocate for the prevention of corruption and chairman of the high-level award committee, the organisation said she was selected as a joint winner.

The letter said, "Your nomination has undergone an independent and rigorous review by both the assessment advisory board and the high-level award committee, and it was found to exemplify the values, expertise, and integrity that this award represents.

"On behalf of both the secretariat of the International Anti-corruption Excellence Award and His Excellency Dr. Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri, it gives me the greatest pleasure to inform you that your nomination has been selected as a joint winner of this year's International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award in the category of Lifetime / Outstanding Achievement.

"The award ceremony will take place on 14 December, 2025 in Doha , Qatar. It would be our great honour to have you among us on this occasion."
