14 December 2025

Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) is ushering in the Christmas spirit with a special holiday edition of its acclaimed Food and Drink Festival. The edition, the Group promises, will be a festive blend of culinary delight, family fun, and vibrant enterprise.

At a press briefing in its Lagos headquarters, the Group announced that this yuletide edition will feature over 200 vendors, double the number usually hosted at the annual festival. The figure is expected to rise as preparations intensify.

According to GTCO, the holiday edition is conceived as an immersive Christmas celebration designed to spotlight Africa's rich culinary culture while giving families, food lovers, and entrepreneurs a memorable end-of-year experience.

Group Chief Executive Officer, Segun Agbaje, added that the festival has become a beloved platform for showcasing enterprise, creativity, and the flavours of African cuisine.

"This Holiday Edition reflects our commitment to creating joyful shared experiences while supporting SMEs across the food and beverage value chain," he noted.

To amplify the Christmas cheer, GTCO is creating a dedicated Christmas Village featuring handcrafted gifts and festive treats. A large, immersive children's play zone will offer holiday-themed games and activities, ensuring young revellers feel the magic of the season. Vendors will again enjoy free access to stalls, serving delicacies that capture the colour and culture of the people.

This year's edition will also introduce street-food pop-ups, complete with live demonstrations of popular local dishes. Beyond the food, music from selected DJs will keep the atmosphere lively and celebratory throughout the two-day festival

The Holiday Edition of the GTCO Food and Drink Festival will take place on December 20 and 21 at GTCentre, Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Lagos.
