Love For Change Women Foundation, LCWF, through its inaugural EmpowerHER Entrepreneurship Workshop, brought together young businesswomen for a transformative day of learning, reflection, and community building.
The workshop, themed "From Hustle to Legacy: Building a Business That Outlives You," was designed to equip women aged 20 to 40 with practical entrepreneurial skills to strengthen their small businesses, improve financial management, and build sustainable economic futures.
Participants took part in expert-led sessions focused on the real-world application of critical business skills. A key highlight was an intensive workshop exercise that combined personal vision mapping with strategic business planning, helping attendees shift their mindset from day-to-day survival to long-term legacy building.

She emphasized the importance of understanding the three stages of financial legacy--making money, keeping money, and growing money underscoring the need for a generational shift toward intentionally building legacy businesses and laying strong foundations for future generations.
Also speaking at the event, Inyene Hadassah, a multi-disciplinary professional and capacity development specialist who facilitated the workshop, led a powerful session on emotional intelligence in business. She guided participants on managing customer relationships, handling stress, and leading with empathy as key pillars for building sustainable enterprises.
Throughout the day, participants were guided through business model development, mapping out customer segments, revenue streams, and growth strategies. The workshop culminated in a pitch presentation session, where women confidently articulated their business visions with renewed clarity and purpose.
Speaking at the event, Founder of Love For Change Women Foundation, Modupeola Bello Olukoya, said the workshop reflects the foundation's broader mission of expanding opportunities for women in underserved communities through access to knowledge, networks, and sustainable economic pathways.
"As women, having a consistent source of income is essential because it gives you the freedom to make empowered decisions for your life and family. As an organisation, we want young women to build sustainable, well-structured businesses and become financially independent. With this workshop, we wanted them to reflect, refine their ideas, and build with more clarity and intentionality," Olukoya said.
She added that the impact of the day reaffirmed the foundation's commitment to its mission.
"Watching the women leave with concrete business plans and renewed confidence reminded us why this work matters," she said. "This isn't just about a workshop. We're building a movement of women who support each other, share resources, and rise together. The relationships formed here will sustain these businesses long after today."
The EmpowerHER workshop followed the successful completion of an eight-week EmpowerHER Bootcamp, a virtual learning programme that covered digital entrepreneurship, personal branding, brand visibility, and digital marketing. In partnership with Visionary Leaders Global Network (VLGN), the foundation also awarded business support grants to outstanding bootcamp participants to help them stabilise or scale their ventures.
The foundation expressed gratitude to its partners and volunteers for their support whose meticulous planning and coordination ensured a seamless experience for all participants.
