Ghana: Five Police Officers Interdicted Over Unauthorised Use of Uniform

The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five personnel for misconduct involving the unauthorised use of the Police uniform on social media.

The officers, identified as G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale (No. 45545), G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere (No. 50300), G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo (No. 51816), G/Cpl. Charles Oduro (No. 56563), and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor (No. 14494), have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigation and appropriate disciplinary measures.

In a statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah, Director-General of Public Affairs, the Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, integrity, and discipline among personnel.

The service also urged the public to report misconduct and reminded officers that any misuse of the uniform or service identity, particularly on social media, will attract stringent action.
