Liberia, UN Sign U.S.$883m Cooperation Framework

MONROVIA-Liberia and the United Nations have signed a new US$883 million Cooperation Framework to guide development support from 2026-2030. The agreement focuses on accelerating inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development, with priority areas in human capital development, good governance and rule of law, and economic sustainability.

The framework aligns with Liberia's ARREST Agenda, Vision 2030, Agenda 2063, and the Sustainable Development Goals, and emphasizes strong implementation, results, and accountability. It also introduces flagship programs in education and skills, adolescent girls' empowerment, digital governance, and climate-smart agriculture, with a joint government-UN steering committee overseeing execution
