Nigeria: Esan Icons Award 2025 Records Resounding Success

The second edition of the Esan Icons Award 2025, organised by Dave Entertainment International, has been described as a major success, celebrating excellence, leadership, and service across Esanland and the diaspora.

The colourful ceremony brought together political leaders, business executives, professionals, youth leaders, and humanitarian figures to honour individuals and organisations whose contributions continue to drive development and unity in Esanland. The event showcased Esan cultural heritage while reinforcing the importance of impact-driven leadership.

Speaking on the significance of the award, the initiator and organiser, Ambassador Dave Akhabue, said the platform was created to spotlight genuine achievers. "The Esan Icons Award is about recognising people whose work has made measurable impact and inspired progress within Esanland and beyond," he stated.

Among the major award recipients was Mr. Daniel Ogudugu, CEO of Daniels Homes Limited and Geovina Hotel & Suites, who emerged Man of the Year. Others honoured included Dr. Phina Aigbe (Diaspora Woman of the Year), Pastor Omo Azugbene Ehimare Stevenson (Diaspora Man of the Year), Hon. Aliu Linda Omonzele (Face of the Year), and Hon. Jonathan Aigbokhan and Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, who received State and Federal Lawmaker of the Year awards respectively.

The event also recognised outstanding youths, humanitarian leaders, and innovative businesses, while special appreciation was given to partners, sponsors, and the Special Guest of Honour, Ambassador Jerry Franklin, for their support.

Organizers noted that the success of the 2025 edition has further positioned the Esan Icons Award as a credible platform for celebrating excellence and inspiring future generations.
