Nigeria: NNPP Dissolves Kano Exco

3 January 2026

The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has announced the dissolution of its executive committees at the state, local government and ward levels in Kano State.

The national publicity secretary, Bamofin Ladipo Johnson, in a statement released yesterday, said the decision was taken in accordance with the party's constitution following an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC).

"The NWC has appointed caretaker committees to act in the interim, with further instructions to be announced in due course," he said.

He thanked all those who held positions at the state, local government and ward structures in Kano State and assured them of its appreciation for their invaluable contributions.
