A man identified as Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, who allegedly worked with the Department of State Services (DSS), has been accused of abducting a young girl named Walida Abdullahi from Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

Walida Abdullahi reportedly went missing about two years ago, and since then, her family has been tirelessly searching for her. Unfortunately, all efforts to locate her proved unsuccessful, and the prolonged search almost forced the family to lose hope of ever seeing her again.

However, a turning point occurred when an unknown man contacted Walida's father by phone and asked him whether he had a daughter who had disappeared two years earlier. The father confirmed that he did. The caller then handed the phone to Walida, allowing her to speak directly with her father. Upon hearing her voice and confirming her identity, the father immediately contacted Walida's biological brother, who resides in Abuja, and asked him to go and verify the situation without delay.

When the brother arrived, it was allegedly discovered that the man who abducted Walida was a staff member of the DSS. Walida reportedly explained that she had been living in Abuja for the past two years, during which time Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi allegedly coerced her into converting from Islam to Christianity. She further claimed that he continuously molested her without marriage, which eventually resulted in the birth of a baby boy.

Following these revelations, the Department of State Services reportedly launched a thorough investigation into the matter. As a result, the suspect has been arrested, and the case is currently progressing in Jigawa State.

The family and the public have expressed deep appreciation to the DSS for its efforts and determination in arresting the suspect and ensuring that justice is pursued. May Almighty Allah reward them for their service.

Finally, I call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure that such acts of impunity, no matter how small they may appear, are taken seriously. We urge that the judiciary to deliver appropriate punishment in line with the law, so that justice is served and similar crimes are discouraged in the future.
