Nigeria: Tinubu Arrives Abu Dhabi for Sustainability Week Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has Arrived in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, to attend the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).

The President's aircraft touched down at Zayed International Airport at approximately 11:30pm local time.

President Tinubu was received in Abu Dhabi by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.

On December 28, President Tinubu departed Lagos for Europe, continuing his end-of-year break and ahead of the Abu Dhabi engagement.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, had said His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, had invited President Tinubu to participate in the 2026 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026) Summit.

The summit is an annual event that mobilises leaders from government, business, and society to chart the next era of sustainable development.

With the theme "The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go", ADSW will connect ambition with action across innovation, finance, and people, showcasing how the world can move forward with confidence.'

Participants at the weeklong summit will address critical issues regarding energy innovation and the financial infrastructure required for renewable energy transitions.

Also during the summit ,President Tinubu aim to position Nigeria as a leading player in sustainable development, seeking to attract foreign investment and foster partnerships that align with Nigeria's national growth objectives.
