Nigeria: Missing Child Found in Abuja

13 January 2026

The FCT Police Command has called on the public to assist with information that could help reunite a missing male child with his family in Abuja.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the child, estimated to be between 10 and 11 years old, was found wandering around the Works and Housing Estate in the Gwarinpa area of the FCT.

Adeh said the child was dressed in a white shirt and carton-coloured trousers. He was found and brought to the Gwarinpa Police Divisional Headquarters by a Good Samaritan on December 26.

According to her, the child was brought to the station at about 4pm after efforts to locate his parents or relatives proved unsuccessful.

"The child appears to be unable to speak or provide any information about his family. Members of the public with useful information are kindly requested to contact the nearest police station or call 08180382808, or the Police Public Relations Officer on 07038979348," she said. (NAN)
