The Benue Rescue and Rebuild Mission governorship campaign has continued to consolidate its structures with the appointment of Chief Jerry Aondo (SAN) as acting director and head of the Legal Directorate.
The decision, approved by governorship hopeful, Prof. Sebastian Tar Hon, SAN (Semawan-u-Tiv), reflects a deliberate strategy to fortify the campaign's legal and advocacy machinery ahead of the 2027 elections.
Aondo, a seasoned lawyer and prominent human rights activist, was elevated to the prestigious rank of SAN on October 1, 2024, by the Chief Justice of Nigeria. Speaking on the development, Prof. Hon emphasised the importance of focus and discipline within the campaign.
He urged the Steering Committee to channel its energy into the objectives of the Benue Rescue and Rebuild Mission, warning against distractions that could arise from frivolous issues.
