Nigeria: Adamawa Govt Opens Applications for 2026 Special Female Scholarship

The Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund (ASSTF) has announced the commencement of applications for the Adamawa State Government 2026 Special Female Scholarship, aimed at supporting eligible female students from the state.

In a public notice issued in Yola, the Trust Fund invited suitably qualified candidates to apply for the scholarship through its official online portal. Applications will be open from January 14 to January 28, 2026.

According to the notice, applicants must be indigenes of Adamawa State and must have obtained nine credits in the 2025 WAEC or NECO O'Level examinations. Candidates are also required to have completed their secondary school education in a government-owned secondary school.

In addition, applicants must have met the JAMB cut-off mark for their chosen course of study and secured admission into a government-owned university.

The Management of the Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund urged interested and eligible candidates to submit their applications online via www.asstfy.ad.gov.ng/apply within the stipulated period, noting that late submissions will not be considered.

The scholarship scheme is part of the Adamawa State Government's ongoing efforts to promote female education and equal access to higher education across the state.
