8 February 2026

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has launched a ₦40,000 support programme for 24,000 out-of-school girls in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State, aimed at improving access to quality education for the girl-child.

The programme, which targets vulnerable girls who are currently out of school, forms part of the state government's broader efforts to promote inclusive education and reduce gender disparities in access to learning.

Speaking at the launch, Governor Fintiri said the initiative underscores his administration's commitment to empowering the girl-child through education, describing education as a critical tool for social and economic development.

He explained that the ₦40,000 support would assist beneficiaries in meeting basic educational needs and encourage enrolment and retention, particularly in rural communities.

Governor Fintiri reaffirmed that his government would continue to invest in policies and programmes that expand educational opportunities and strengthen human capital development across Adamawa State.
