Teaching board says it's not recruiting

In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the board dismissed the claim as misleading, stating that it had made no such announcement and advised the public to ignore the message.

"The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Rev Fr Chief Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has NOT hitherto directed the Executive Secretary of the Board, Rt. Hon. Bem Jacob Tseen to open portal for applications or embark on any recruitment exercise," the statement said.

A search of the Benue state government's official website shows that its most recent job-related announcement dates back to 2024, with no official notice of a new recruitment exercise for 2026.

The claim circulating online is false.
