Nigeria: How Woman Escaped With Lover's Car From Abuja Hotel

9 February 2026

A woman identified as Precious Chinenye has reportedly fled with her lover's car after the duo stayed at a hotel in the Asokoro area of Abuja, the nation's capital.

Abuja Metro gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday morning. The victim, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, had checked into the hotel with the woman on Wednesday night.

Sources stated that around 7:12 am on Thursday, while the man was still asleep, the woman quietly dressed, took his car keys, and headed to the parking lot. She reportedly drove out of the premises under the guise of going to purchase an item outside.

When the man eventually woke up, he discovered that both the woman and his vehicle were missing. He was said to have immediately alerted security operatives.

In addition to the vehicle, vital documents, a laptop, and an undisclosed amount of cash were reportedly inside the car at the time of the escape.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident. She stated that the police are currently investigating the matter and working to apprehend the suspect.
