Nigeria: Don't Mistake My Simplicity for Weakness, New Fulafia VC Warns

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has cautioned staff not to mistake his simplicity for weakness.

Kida issued the warning during his inaugural address as the fourth substantive Vice-Chancellor of FULafia.

Outlining the focus of his administration, he pledged to sustain the momentum established by his predecessor, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman.

He assured the University community that his administration would continue with the good works started by Abdul Rahman and consolidate on the steady progress already made.

Kida, a professor of accounting, emphasised the need for collective actions and responsibility in advancing the University's mandate.

He urged academic and non-teaching staff, students and governing bodies to support his administration.

Kida stressed that achieving institutional stability and academic excellence would require commitment, discipline from all, appealing for cooperation and understanding "for our administration to succeed.
