Nigeria: Security Forces Repel Bandit Attack in Wase, Plateau State

- Security operatives successfully repelled a bandit attack on Kampani village in Wase Local Government Area on Saturday, restoring calm to the community.

According to Shapi'i Sambo, the armed attackers stormed the village around 4 p.m., causing panic among residents. Local authorities promptly alerted security forces, who responded swiftly to confront the bandits.

"The security teams engaged the attackers, forcing them to flee into the surrounding bushes," Sambo said. "Operatives then secured the area, conducted thorough sweeps, and confirmed that all residents were safe."

No casualties were reported, bringing relief to the terror-stricken community. Residents have commended the state government, local authorities, and security operatives for their decisive response.
