1 March 2026

The Olatunji Disu has reassured Nigerians that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to protecting lives and maintaining peace amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking through the Force's Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, IGP Disu said the police have intensified intelligence-led operations across the country, focusing on key regions to prevent any disruption of peace.

He urged citizens to remain vigilant, collaborate with community leaders, and report suspicious activities to the authorities.

"The Police Force emphasizes that Nigeria will not be a battleground for foreign conflicts and warns of consequences for anyone attempting to incite unrest," IGP Disu said. "We remain steadfast in safeguarding every Nigerian and upholding national security."
