Gambia: GPF Technical Working Group Meets Transport Union Over Draft Agreement

The Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Gambia Police Force on Thursday, February 26, 2026, convened a meeting with the General Transport Union at Police Headquarters in Banjul to review the Union's draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

During the engagement, members of the Technical Working Group presented their observations and identified specific provisions requiring amendment, leading to constructive and productive discussions between both parties.

The draft MOU was not adopted at the meeting, as it remains subject to further revisions. Both parties mutually agreed that the necessary adjustments would be effected before the document is finalized and formally adopted.

The Gambia Police Force expressed appreciation to the General Transport Union for the engagement and reaffirmed its commitment to continued collaboration with key stakeholders in the interest of public safety and national development.
