Nigeria: Production Increases to 1.64m Bpd As NNPC Generates N2.57trn

10 March 2026

The Nigerian National Petroleum (NNPC) Limited said crude oil production increased to 1.64m in the month of January from the 1.55m barrels produced per day in December 2025.

In a factsheet, it said the increase in production is due to the completion of Turn Around Maintenance at Agbami and Renaissance (Estuary Area - EA).

It, however, said planned deliveries for January were reduced due to bad weather, evacuation, and asset integrity challenges.

Also said the company made a total revenue of N2.57trn during the month while it made a N385bn profit after tax.

The company added that it made N726bn statutory payments during the month.

On the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline, it said it is 92 percent completed and the pre-commissioning activities have continued while significant progress was reported in the construction of the Block Valve Stations (BVS) and Intermediate Pigging Stations (IPS).
