10 March 2026

A seven-year-old child and three others sustained injuries after a bus crashed at Kwaita village, along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.

A witness said the accident involved an 18-seater commuter Hiace bus with registration number GWA 219 XA.

The witness said the bus, conveying travelers from the East to the North, veered off the road after the driver lost control and crashed into a ditch.

The child and three other passengers sustained injuries during the crash and were rushed to the Kwali General Hospital for treatment.

An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who was part of the rescue operation but preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed the accident.

He attributed the crash to a loss of control and over-speeding, confirming that the injured victims were taken to the Kwali General Hospital.
