Nigeria: APC Governors Visit Tinubu, Hold Crucial Meeting in Lagos Ahead Party Primaries

23 March 2026

Ahead of the party's Governorship primaries scheduled for next month, 31 governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, under the aegis of Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, are in crucial meeting in Lagos on the state of the nation.

The Governors converged on Eko Hotel, Victoria Island on Sunday, for the meeting which was earlier scheduled to hold in the afternoon. The governors had initially visited President Bola Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence to congratulate him on the successful state visit to the United Kingdom, UK, and the Eid-el fitri celebration.

As at 9.40 pm, only 21 out of the 31 governors have arrived for the all important meeting.

It was gathered that one of the key issues for deliberation is the focus on holding a rancour free, successful party's primaries.
