Nigeria: Money Can't Buy My Love - Actress Sandra Ifudu

29 March 2026

Nollywood actress and singer Sandra Ifudu has said that while financial gestures can be exciting, they are not enough to win her affection.

Speaking in a candid interview, the rising star admitted that receiving money can lift her mood, but stressed that love cannot be bought.

"There are no two ways about it -- credit alerts put me in the mood," she said, noting the natural appeal of financial generosity.

However, she was quick to clarify that such gestures do not translate into emotional connection or romantic commitment.

"I'm not saying money can buy my love. Absolutely not. Every woman loves to be pampered, and money does bring excitement. If you send me money, of course I'll be happy and grateful. But if you're not my type, nothing you do can make me date you," she explained.

Ifudu added that while she appreciates kindness, attraction and compatibility remain essential in her choice of partner.

The actress first gained widespread attention through music, particularly after her viral cover of If by Davido. She later released her own single, Audio Love, featuring Daddy Showkey, with a cameo appearance by Okon Lagos in the music video.

In recent years, Ifudu has shifted focus more toward acting, steadily building her presence in Nollywood while maintaining her roots in music.
