Nigeria: Toyin Adewale Dismisses Reports of Fire At Mayorkun's Residence

30 March 2026

Veteran actress Toyin Adewale has officially cleared the air regarding her son, Mayorkun, following widespread reports of a fire outbreak at his Lagos mansion, describing the claims as entirely false and misleading.

Taking to her verified Instagram page on Sunday, the actress debunked the viral videos and reports that suggested the "Awuke" crooner and his family narrowly escaped an explosion on Saturday night. Adewale expressed deep frustration over the dissemination of unverified information, noting that such reports cause unnecessary panic and distress to the family and their well-wishers.

"Amen, Amen, and Amen. I pray for my family, friends, and colleagues. Thanks for checking on us and for your calls and messages. I truly appreciate it. We shall not mourn over our children," she wrote, confirming that no such incident occurred and that her family remains safe.

The initial reports, which circulated across various digital platforms earlier today, had sparked an outpouring of concern from fans and colleagues within the entertainment industry.

With this official clarification, the public is urged to disregard the previous claims of a fire incident.
