Nigeria: ADC Chieftain to Mobilise Against Tinubu

31 March 2026

A Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ken Imansuagbon, has called on Nigerians to mobilise against the second-term bid by President Bola Tinubu.

Imansuagbon made the call in Ewohimi, Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State, while receiving defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the ADC.

The decampees were led by former PDP chieftain, Chief Clifford Eineh, who described the action as part of a growing political shift ahead of the 2027 general elections. Addressing supporters, Imansuagbon said Nigerians at both the state and federal levels must prepare to decisively reject the current administration as it has failed.

He declared that Edo electorate would also resist any attempt by Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, to secure a second term. He said the influx of new members into the ADC signaled increasing public confidence in the party as a viable alternative.
