Nigeria: ADC Opens Campaign Office in Benue

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally flagged off its push for the 2027 senatorial election in Benue South senatorial district with the inauguration of an advisory council and opening of a campaign headquarters for its aspirant, Dr. David Olofu.

The campaign office, was unveiled on Sunday alongside the constitution of the campaign council, chaired by Sir John Ngbede, with Chris Adaba Abah serving as Director General.

Speaking at the event, Olofu said the launch marks the beginning of a new political direction for Benue South, stressing the need for leadership that delivers measurable impact.

He added that his campaign would focus on building systems that promote growth, restore security and expand opportunities at the grassroots.

The chairman of campaign council, Ngbede, described the initiative as a movement to reposition Idomaland, noting that the council brings together experienced stakeholders committed to driving the vision.

The advisory council comprises key political figures and professionals, including former Rep, Godday Samuel, Prof. David Salifu, Chief Patrick Ogbu, Dr Steve Onmeje,. Hassan Saleh, Jacob Ogwuche, Group Capt. Steve Adah (rtd), Igbiri Idah, Okpe Onah, Samson Okwu and others.
