31 March 2026

The husband of Toyin Abraham, Kolawole Ajeyemi, has praised her for listening to him and maintaining calm amid her beef with Funke Akindele.

Kolawole, an actor, shared a photo of himself and Toyin, affirming his love for her. He noted that Toyin wants to talk but was keeping silent because of him.

The actor appreciated everyone who checked up on his wife.

"Oluawtoyin Abraham Aya Mi, I love you. Thank you for always listening to me. I know you want to talk, but Hmmmm. Afi Suru. Thanks, everyone. God bless you all, we love you".

This follows Funke Akindele's snub of Toyin Abraham at the premiere of Return of Arinzo, produced by Iyabo Ojo.

Leadership reported that Toyin Abraham had greeted Funke Akindele, but the latter maintained a stern look and did not respond to her greeting. Toyin had overlooked this and greeted the host, Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe, others seated around the same table.

In a dramatic response to the snub, Toyin Abraham has unfollowed Funke Akindele, whose movie, Behind The Scene, has set a box-office record, surpassing one billion Naira worldwide.

Toyin has gone to her Instagram handle to announce that she will no longer greet Funke again because of the cold treatment she received.

The reignited beef came as a surprise; late last year, Funke and Toyin shared a sweet moment at Toke Makinwa's daughter's dedication. Toyin was seen kneeling to greet Funke at the event, and she accepted her greetings.

For years, there was rivalry between the two screen goddesses, as they both dominated the TV screen and continue to do so.

However, the two ladies settled their differences as Toyin Abraham celebrated Funke on her birthday, and she reciprocated. Toyin had also attended Funke Akindele's movie premiere, which further shut down rumours of animosity between the box office Queens.

In what seemed like a reaction to the drama, Nkechi Blessing noted how life is too short for one to be dramatic. She told people to take cover as the tension is high.

Also, media personality, Do2dtun, admonished the public to know whom they greet and whom they will never greet before they leave their houses. According to him, one should know one's enemies, colleagues, acquaintances and friends. He noted that the industry is full of fake love, which is why one needs to know their real friends.
