Nigeria: 2023 Kaduna PDP Guber Candidate, Kudan, Defects to ADC

The 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Isah Muhammad Ashiru Kudan, has left the PDP and joined the ADC.

The former candidate, who comes from Kudan Local Government Area in Kaduna State, announced his defection on his Facebook page Tuesday.

He posted his campaign poster showing the ADC logo and wrote: "Onward together... Alhamdulillah."

Daily Trust spoke with his close associate, Ibrahim Dan Inna, who confirmed that he has left the PDP.

"Yes, Isah Ashiru has left the PDP and joined the ADC. He has already registered. What is left now is to collect his membership card, which will be done this week," he said.

Reports also show that Ashiru made this decision shortly after visiting former President Atiku Abubakar in Abuja, as he shared photos of their meeting on his social media page.
