The 2026 edition of the World Corporate Golf Challenge National Finals will take place at Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos from May 29 to 31, with Globus Bank coming on board as a new partner, as organisers Falcon Golf Development Company (FGDC) reposition the tournament as a high-tier networking event for Nigeria's corporate community.
Remi Olukoya, Chief Executive Officer of FGDC, said the 2026 edition raises the bar with improved innovations and deeper on-the-green networking opportunities for sponsors and participants, adding that interest across the country had already been significant.
Among the new features this year is the introduction of a second team selected on gross score alone, with the team posting the lowest gross representing Nigeria as Team 2 at the world finals on the road to Beijing, China. Team 1 will be selected through Stableford scoring, using three-quarters of the official handicap, with the best score per hole between partners determining qualification. A VIP Guest Category based on individual Stableford scoring has also been introduced for participants seeking an exclusive experience rather than competitive play.
"We have done a lot to add value to the 2026 World Corporate Golf Challenge. Apart from the usual winner-takes-all format, there is now an opportunity for gross players to also experience what it is like to play the World Finals," Olukoya said.

Proceeds from the VIP category will go towards the Falcon Golf Academy, which supports the development of young golfers aspiring to become Nigeria's next generation of professional players.
The World Corporate Golf Challenge connects business leaders through golf across more than 35 countries worldwide, and its return to Ikoyi Club continues the venue's long-standing history of hosting premier amateur and corporate competitions.
