Nigeria: APC Convention - Kebbi Loses Two Councillors, One SSAsa

Two people were reported to have lost their lives during the just-concluded National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Abuja.

The deceased are Hadiza Sabo Warrah, Councillor representing Warrah Ward, and Sahabi Alheri, Councillor representing Birnin Yauri Ward in Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Another victim is Abubakar Sadiq, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Nasir Idris on social media.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Kebbi State Governor, Yahaya Sarki, the three victims died after they were knocked down by a moving vehicle while crossing the roadside. The incident occurred after their vehicle had stopped during their journey to Abuja to attend the APC Convention.

Governor Nasir Idris, in his condolence message to the families of the deceased, said he received news of their deaths with shock and prayed to Allah to forgive them.

He further noted that the deceased had left a vacuum that would be difficult to fill, considering their contributions to the development of Kebbi State.
