Nigeria: National ADC Appoints Zamfara Congress Committee

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) national leadership has e appointed the Zamfara State Congress Committee to oversee and coordinate the forthcoming party congresses in the state.

The appointment, conveyed through a press statement yesterday was signed by Abdulkarim Umar, the state publicity secretary of the ADC, who said the committee would be chaired by Mohamed Mainasara.Others are Ambassador Zubairu Yelwa, Mni - secretary Shehu Muhd Maishanu - member; Dr Ahmad Hashim - member; Mal. Muhammadu Bako - member.

He said the congress activities were scheduled as follows: Screening: 7 April 2026; appeals on screening: 8 April 2026; congress for polling units, wards, LGAs and election of one national delegate: 9th April, 2026; appeals on congresses: 10th April 2026.

Umar said the state congress and election of 12 national delegates would hold on 11th April 2026; appeals over the state congress, 12th April 2026.

The national body has mandated the committee to ensure that the entire process is conducted in strict accordance with the party constitution and guidelines, with emphasis on fairness, transparency, accountability, and internal democracy.

The Zamfara State Chapter calls on all party members, stakeholders, and aspirants to fully cooperate with the committee to ensure a peaceful, credible, and successful congress.
