Monrovia, Liberia -- April 13, 2026: The Special Presidential Project Coordinating Committee (SPPCC) has concluded a two-week Capstone Training program aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, leadership capacity, and interdepartmental coordination across its nationwide hubs.
The training, held from April 1 to April 9 at the Committee's headquarters in Mamba Point, brought together staff from key operational units to enhance technical skills, improve communication systems, and reinforce institutional discipline. Officials said the program forms part of SPPCC's broader strategy to build a highly skilled workforce capable of supporting Liberia's national development agenda.
During the training, participants participated in practical simulations, group exercises, and scenario-based learning to improve real-time decision-making and operational readiness. Sessions emphasized teamwork, accountability, and safety practices, identified by the Committee as core pillars underpinning its work nationwide.
Participants were drawn from several divisions, including Administration, Human Resources and Operations, Communications, Fleet Management, Environmental Safety, and the Technical Team. These units play critical roles in documentation, workforce coordination, equipment supervision, compliance monitoring, and mechanical support for field operations.

The Administration unit focused on strengthening documentation systems, scheduling procedures, and internal communications, while Human Resources and Operations personnel worked on improving workforce coordination across the Committee's 19 operational hubs in Liberia's 15 counties.
Communications staff received training in media engagement, public information dissemination, crisis communication, and project documentation. Fleet Management personnel enhanced their skills in equipment supervision, maintenance planning, asset allocation, and nationwide resource tracking.
Environmental Safety officers reinforced standards related to environmental compliance and workplace safety, while the Technical Team expanded its mechanical engineering capacity to support earthmoving equipment used in field operations.
The program was facilitated by a team of experienced professionals, including community development expert Caroline Bowah, U.S.-based communications specialist Dr. Abdoulaye W. Dukule, and fleet management and logistics expert Yormie. Facilitators stressed professionalism, leadership, discipline, and problem-solving as essential to maintaining operational excellence.

According to organizers, participants showed measurable improvements in managing operational scenarios, responding to emergencies, and implementing project strategies efficiently.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Executive Chair Brownie J. Samukai commended staff for their discipline and dedication throughout the training. He urged participants to apply the skills and knowledge gained to strengthen teamwork and uphold high standards of professionalism across all operational activities.
Samukai described the successful completion of the Capstone Training as a significant milestone in strengthening the Committee's institutional capacity, noting that continued investment in training reflects SPPCC's commitment to building a resilient workforce capable of delivering coordinated and impactful development projects nationwide.
