Nigeria: Ex - PTDF Boss, Rabe, Declares for Katsina Senate Seat

Former Executive Secretary of Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) Engineer Muttaqha Rabe on Tuesday, revealed that after serious consultations with relevant friends and associates, he has accepted to contest for the seat of Senator representing Katsina zone senatorial district under the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Addressing newsmen at his resident in Katsina, the former PTDF boss stated that, his aspiration for the senatorship is based on the expressed need by the people of the eleven local governments that constituted the senatorial district adding that he is aspiring not because he is better than others but because he is among the best.

"This is to show and to announce my acceptance of the call from people of Katsina zone senatorial district. I have a accepted their call and together we will attain victory in 2027,"' he said.

He explained that he intend to use his bast wealth of experience as civil servant, a technocrats and a politician to improve the well-being of the zone adding that his aspiration isn't a do or die affair but a simple adherence to the people's wish.

He stated that as a loyal party member and loyal to party keadership, he will remain committed and loyal to party's rules and regulations adding that whatever the party decides on his aspiration on the Senate seat, is going to be final.
