Hellas Verona has revealed that Nigerian striker, Gift Orban, will face disciplinary action for violent conduct after video surfaced of the 23-year-old fighting a fan.
The incident happened after Verona suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at home to AC Milan on Sunday.
According to reports, Orban was approached by fans for autograph he turned down, and it resulted in a Verona supporter hitting his car.
The on-loan striker stepped out of his car to confront the fan, leading to physical altercation caught on camera.
The Italian Serie A club has therefore reacted to the fight that happened in the club's parking lot, condemning violent conduct.
In the club statement released on Monday, the club also stated that investigations continue to unravel the incident.
"With reference to the incidents that took place after the Hellas Verona v Milan match in the parking area adjacent to the Bentegodi Stadium, involving player Gift Orban and a group of supporters, firmly dissociates itself from and condemns any form of violent conduct."
"The club will continue to gather and assess relevant information."
Orban, who is synonymous with temperament and rash decisions leading to fines, has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 22 league matches.
