WHAT: The African Development Bank Group will convene a high-level consultation with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) on 24 April 2026, marking the next milestone in the inclusive design of the Bank's new Regional Integration Strategic Framework (RISF) for 2026-2033.

WHO: The Regional Integration Coordination Office, Department of Gender and Civil Society.

WHEN: 24 April 2026. TIME: 10 -12 AM

WHERE: The session will be held in hybrid format (physical participation at CCIA in Abidjan and online)

This consultation follows the Bank's first institutional dialogue in March 2026 with Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and continental institutions, which laid the foundation for the next decade of Africa's integration agenda. By engaging CSOs, the Bank underscores its commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and collaboration, ensuring that grassroots perspectives - including women, youth, and community networks, complement institutional priorities.

Speakers will include Dr Joy Kategekwa, Director of the Regional Integration Coordination Office, Zeneb Toure from the AfDB Department of Gender and Civil Society and Ometere Omoluabi-Davies, Regional Integration Coordinator for RDNG.

The consultation will provide a platform for civil society representatives to share insights, highlight emerging issues, and propose actionable recommendations to inform the design of the RISF 2026-2033. Their contributions will ensure that the framework reflects realities on the ground while aligning with continental priorities under Agenda 2063.

The outcomes of the consultation will inform the final design of the RISF 2026-2033, which will guide the Bank's support to regional integration over the next decade and contribute to advancing Africa's broader goals of economic transformation, resilience, and sustainable growth. The results will also be amplified across AfDB platforms through a communiqué, highlight ensuring that civil society recommendations remain visible and contribute to sustained momentum in the RISF design process.

Interpretation will be provided in English and French.
