"We give glory to God for this achievement. The full accreditation by the NUC affirms that we have met and exceeded the required standards," he said.

Omeike commended the university management for providing the resources needed to sustain the programme, highlighting the availability of modern laboratory equipment and qualified academic staff.

He noted that the NUC accreditation team had expressed satisfaction with the department's readiness to produce highly skilled graduates capable of making impact in the biotechnology field.

The researcher, whose work focuses on actinobacteria, drug discovery, and antibiotic resistance, also assured prospective students and parents of the programme's quality.

"Studying Biotechnology here offers a strong foundation for future success. We are committed to training graduates who can compete globally," he added.
