Nigeria: Apply Lessons From Zamfara Tour, Gov. Lawal Tells Air War College Participants

Governor Dauda Lawal has urged participants of Air War Course 12 of the Air Force War College to translate lessons from their study tour into practical solutions for Nigeria's security challenges.

The governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, spoke while receiving the team led by the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal G.A. Mbaka, in Gusau.

He described Zamfara as a "critical theatre" in the fight against insecurity and said the visit provided an opportunity to understand the link between security and development.

"You are urged to draw practical lessons from your engagements here... and ensure that the knowledge acquired is translated into actionable outcomes that will strengthen Nigeria's security architecture," he said.

The study tour, held from April 26 to May 1, focuses on the role of air power and state resources in tackling insecurity in the North-West.

Earlier, Mbaka commended the state government's efforts in infrastructure, education and security, including the establishment of the Community Protection Guards.
