ABUJA — A faith-based civic organisation has backed Senator Natasha H. Akpoti Uduaghan, saying its position is grounded in her record in office, not in any form of relationship, amid heightened scrutiny over the credibility of public endorsements ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
The group said its decision reflects a wider national mood, where citizens are demanding accountability, empathy and courage from public office holders, noting that the Kogi Central lawmaker's actions are resonating beyond her constituency.
In a statement by its Executive Director, Prophet Efe Cyril Edah, the Solution Social Initiative said it has no prior engagement or affiliation with the senator and that its position rests strictly on what it described as her observable record in public office.
"This is not about access or association. SSI does not have any working relationship or network with the Distinguished Senator. This is a reflection of what Nigerians are already seeing. Beyond Kogi Central, her actions are speaking, and the country is paying attention," he said.

The organisation said the senator's interventions on justice, social protection and human dignity, alongside her stance against intimidation and abuse, stand out at a time when many Nigerians are looking for more responsive, people-centred leadership.
"It is neither a tribute born out of affiliation nor a product of political alignment," he added, describing the move as an act of civic oversight aimed at reinforcing values needed to deepen democracy and rebuild public trust.
Edah said the organisation's role extends beyond criticism to recognising leadership that reflects accountability and puts people first.
"Beyond critique, it includes identifying and amplifying leadership that reflects courage, accountability, and a people-first approach to governance," he said.
The group said its approach reflects a broader commitment to democratic accountability and social responsibility, adding that voices willing to confront difficult issues are becoming more significant in shaping the country's direction.
While stressing that there is no existing relationship with the senator, the organisation said the recognition could open the door for constructive engagement around shared values such as justice, equity and democratic progress.
It reaffirmed its commitment to promoting leadership that strengthens institutions, builds public trust and advances the interests of Nigerians.
