Nigeria: Ahead of Senate Primaries, Kebbi Senator Quits APC

Ahead of next week's rescheduled Senate primary elections, the senator representing Kebbi South, Senator Garba Musa Maidoki has dumped All Progressive Congress (APC).

This was contained in a resignation letter he addressed to the chairman of APC, Rafin Zuru Ward in Zuru local government area of Kebbi State on May 14, 2026.

Maidoki said, "This is to inform you, the chairman of APC Rafin Zuru Ward that I have withdrawn my membership card as a member of All Progressive Congress ( APC ).

"My decision is based on serious and continuous crisis in your party which has made my political aspiration and ambition a source of concern," the letter read.
