The Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) invites policymakers, evaluators, development practitioners, and partners to participate in the 7th edition of its Development Evaluation Week, which will take place from 15 to 17 June in Abidjan and online.

Under the theme "Catalysing Development Impact Across Africa's Borders," the 2026 Evaluation Week aims to strengthen the use of evaluative evidence in regional and national decision-making and to support more effective design and implementation of cross-border initiatives. It will provide an important platform for reflection and dialogue on regional integration at a time when Africa is advancing major continental initiatives such as the African Continental Free Trade Area, the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa, and the African Union's Agenda 2063.

The discussions will draw on evaluative evidence and practical experience to explore what drives development impact, where challenges persist, and how cross-border initiatives can deliver more inclusive and sustainable development results across the continent.

Programme

The 7th AfDB Development Evaluation Week will generate key knowledge products, including a Priority Action Brief, a digital knowledge platform, and a special synthesis product, to support continued learning and uptake of evaluation findings.

Join in person or online to contribute to evidence-based solutions for Africa's development.
