Brazzaville is ready. The Congolese capital is demonstrating its full preparedness. The President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr Sidi Ould Tah, on Sunday reviewed the status of preparations put in place by the joint Congolese and other technical teams mobilised to host the institution's 61st Annual Meetings, which open on Monday.

Accompanied on a tour of the meeting venue by Ludovic Ngatsé, Minister of Economy, Planning and Forecasting of the Republic of the Congo and Chairman of the Boards of Governors of the Bank Group, Dr Ould Tah visited the participants' accreditation center, exhibition stands, press rooms, and conference halls.

He also toured the governors' offices, catering areas, and several other spaces dedicated to the event.

All the infrastructure meet the international standards required for the event.

The President commended the commitment of the national authorities and all other personnel mobilised to ensure the success of these Annual Meetings.

The hundreds of delegates who have already arrived, have received a warm welcome in Brazzaville, a city at the heart of the Congo Basin.

These Meetings are being held under the theme: "Mobilising Africa's Development Financing at Scale in a Fragmented World." Several African Heads of State and Government are expected to attend, alongside ministers, Governors and other representatives from 81 member countries.

Regarding the Ebola outbreak, no suspected cases have been detected in the Republic of the Congo, and the World Health Organization (WHO) has not recommended any travel to, or trade restrictions with Brazzaville or other cities in the country.
