Nigeria: Alexx Ekubo's Sister-in-Law Pays Emotional Tribute At Service of Songs

The final rites for the late Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, commenced with a solemn service of songs in Lagos State on Wednesday, during which family, friends, and film industry colleagues gathered to pay their respects.

During the event, the deceased's sister-in-law delivered a moving tribute, reflecting on the actor's marriage to his wife, Anwuli, and his impact on their family. She stated that from the moment Ekubo sought their sister's hand in marriage, the family knew he was the right partner, describing him as an intentional and dedicated lover.

She added that Ekubo's affection extended beyond his immediate household to everyone around him, creating a strong sense of security for the entire family.

"When Ikenna came forth, we knew he was the one. It was difficult at first because our Awule is a special breed. He was an intentional lover. If you want to experience love, you need to see Ikenna and Anwuli. My mother was safe with him because she had seen how he loved his family. His family is not just people related to him, but people around him. He came and fulfilled his mission; yes, it was short because he returned empty."

The service brought together numerous entertainment personalities who expressed their deep grief over the actor's passing, which followed a battle with cancer.
