Nigeria: Senator Natasha Rallies Support for Ekiti PDP Governorship Candidate Oluyede

Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has declared strong support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Dr. Oluwole Oluyede, urging residents to vote massively for him in the June 20 election.

The senator made the call during the PDP governorship campaign grand finale held in Ado-Ekiti, where thousands of supporters, women groups, youths and members of the Ebira community gathered in solidarity with the party's flagbearer.

Addressing the crowd, Akpoti-Uduaghan described Oluyede as a competent and people-oriented leader with the capacity to drive sustainable development across Ekiti State, adding that her endorsement was based on his leadership qualities and commitment to good governance.

According to her, Oluyede understands the needs of the grassroots, including market women, youths, civil servants and community leaders, and is well positioned to deliver inclusive governance.

The senator further argued that the PDP candidate possesses the experience and integrity required to address key challenges in education, youth empowerment, women inclusion and economic growth in the state.

She also described Oluyede as a unifying figure capable of ensuring equal opportunities for all residents regardless of ethnic, religious or social background.

Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed confidence in the political awareness of Ekiti voters, saying they are capable of identifying credible leaders who can deliver meaningful development.

She disclosed that her mobilisation efforts included visits to several communities such as Ikole-Ekiti, Ilasa and settlements with significant Ebira populations, where she encouraged residents to actively participate in the electoral process.

The senator urged voters to turn out peacefully on election day and support the PDP candidate, stressing that the election offers Ekiti State an opportunity to chart a new path of development and inclusion.

The campaign grand finale attracted PDP leaders, stakeholders, youth groups and supporters from across the state, all expressing confidence in the party's chances ahead of the poll.
