Calabar — The Cross River State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured aggrieved members that all grievances arising from the recently concluded ward and local government congresses would be fully resolved, as part of efforts to strengthen unity within the party.
The state Chairman of the party, Christopher Etta, gave the assurance on Monday while interacting with journalists in Calabar, stressing that the party remained committed to dialogue and reconciliation ahead of future political activities.
He disclosed that committees constituted to review issues from the congresses had received reports from the Northern and Southern senatorial districts, with the Central Senatorial District committee expected to submit its own report same day.
Etta explained that resolving internal disagreements was an ongoing process, noting that every aggrieved member remained valued and would not be left out in the reconciliation process.

"The committees have submitted their reports. The South and the North have submitted theirs, while the Central is expected to submit today.
" But that is not the end of it. We will continue engaging with our friends, colleagues and members.
"They are an integral part of the APC. Whatever their grievances or feelings, we will address them. It is a continuous exercise," he said.
The APC chairman urged all members, irrespective of their grievances, to remain loyal to the party, expressing confidence that the ongoing reconciliation efforts would further unite members and strengthen the party's structure across the state.
Speaking further on the party's relationship with the media, Etta described journalists as partners in promoting democratic governance, pledging sustained engagement with media practitioners to ensure accurate dissemination of information.
He, however, urged journalists to always verify allegations before publication, particularly on politically sensitive matters, insisting that balanced reporting remained key to preventing misinformation and unnecessary political tension.
On the performance of the APC-led Federal Government, Etta appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with ongoing reforms, noting that temporary hardships were inevitable in the process of rebuilding the nation.
"The party came in at a very critical and difficult time. In trying to fix problems that have festered for years, some pains will naturally occur. In trying to build, sometimes you have to break before you rebuild," he said.
He expressed optimism that the reforms currently being implemented by the APC-led administration would eventually translate to long-term benefits for Nigerians.
