Nigeria: Insecurity - Kebbi Begins Construction of Mobile Police Barracks in Zuru

To address insecurity, particularly in the southern part, the Kebbi State government has kicked off the construction of a Mobile Police Squadron Barracks in Zuru Emirate, in Zuru local government area.

The implementation committee is headed by the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Suleiman Mikailu Sami III. Governor Nasir Idris had mandated the committee to identify and assess the land for the establishment of the barracks in the area.

The emir who commended the initiative, confirmed that the committee had carried out its assignment and that compensation had been paid to the affected landowners and construction had commenced.

He said when completed, the people of the emirate would enjoy peace and safety.

The emir prayed to Allah to continue to guide and protect the governor in his efforts to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
