Nigeria: Police Arrest Two With 132 Sachets of Tramadol in Delta

Benin — Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two suspects over alleged drug trafficking in the state.

The suspects, identified as Hillary Osondu, 54, and Abubakar Bello, 54, were arrested on August 13, 2026, with 132 sachets of Tramadol.

The state command's spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the suspects were arrested by operatives of Operation Delta Shield while conducting a stop-and-search operation along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, Delta State.

He said during the stop-and-search operation, the police intercepted a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number ZBL-549-XA, leading to the recovery of 132 sachets of 100mg Tramadol.

According to him, the suspects are in custody, with investigation ongoing to arrest other accomplices.

He assured that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation .
