IMF Steps Up Debt Relief for Ebola-Affected Countries

The World Bank had estimated that the worst-affected countries - Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone - will lose at least U.S.$1.6 billion in "foregone economic growth" as a result of the epidemic.

More than 8,000 people have been killed by the virus, which has put already weak health systems in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone under severe strain.
